The third annual Portland Bungalow Show will be held Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10 at the Ambridge Center, 1333 NE Martin Luther King Blvd. The Show hours are Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-4. Admission is $10 for the show. 50% off coupons are available around town and on the web for the show only. Additionally, there will be a separately ticketed wine tasting and lecture at the Ambridge Center from 7-10pm. The lecture and wine tasting is $10 at the door.

We are pleased to have Andre Chaves as our introductory speaker on Saturday night! Following his talk we will have a tasting of award winning Oregon wines from St Innocent vineyards in Salem, followed by our keynote speaker CJ Hurley. We look forward to seeing you there for an engaging and informative evening!

We will for the first time be offering hands on workshops. This year we will focus on windows, both interior and exterior. More info is available on the workshops page. We also have an expanded lecture schedule, which is available on the lectures page.

The Portland Bungalow Show is proud to be partnered with the Architectural Heritage Center, and the Historic Irvington Home Tour, scheduled for May 17, 2009.

See www.irvingtonhometour.com and www.visitahc.org for more details. The Ambridge Center is five minutes by car from both the Historic Irvington Home Tour and the Architectural Heritage Center.

We look forward to seeing you there!

fredThe second annual Portland Bungalow show grew by twenty percent from the first show, despite the fact that we had a 100 degree weekend. Saturday evening we enjoyed CJ Hurley's talk on the ART of the Arts and Crafts Movement, followed by an exceptional wine tasting from Dalla Vina wines and topped off with Alex Vertikoff's musings on the photography of American Bungalow Magazine covers. For those of you who were here last year please note that the Ambridge Center has moved two blocks North (away from the Convention Center). The Max stop is still the Convention Center. We will continue to update the website as I have finally gotten the hang if it. We will be offering more lectures, more workshops, and more energy saving tips. Because there was so much interest last year, this year I , your humble director, will build a storm window with a seventy year old tablesaw and a screw gun, and store bought lumber, in less than an hour! The show will be educational, enlightening, and entertaining! We look forward to seeing you there!
